The second and last album from The Firm ("Mean business") is a bit of a disappointment. The material is inferior in comparison to the first album. Paul Rodgers brings with him the darkest mood from Bad Company and leaving out much of the melody and Jimmy Page does what always do - rattling on in the same quite boring and sometimes "strange /5(91).

Jan 23,  · the firm – mean business () After having a gold album with their self-titled debut album and a big radio hit with the song “Radioactive”, it shouldn’t be much of a surprise that the “super group” put together by Bad Company singer Paul Rodgers and Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page would regroup for another release.

Mar 04,  · The album's title was intended to have a double meaning: that the music business is a hard one, and that the band was serious about its music. However, perhaps due to the lukewarm-at-best critical and financial success which the band met, Page and Rodgers decided to disband The Firm within months of this album's release/5(6).
